Welcome new moderators
Written by paul
A month back we said goodbye to one of our long time moderators, Ken, who needed to devote more time to his work. Ken will be really missed and once more, we want to say a heartfelt thanks for his involvement in the moderating group and his valuable presentations at conferences speaking about our forum.
Following our call for new moderators, we'd like to welcome Daveb and Murph onboard the moderating team!!
Site confidentiality
This forum treats your confidentiality as a top priority.
Visitors who find our forum cannot enter the chatroom or view our discussion threads, blogs, profiles or PMs (personal messages). They can only see the 'Other Stuff' items in the left hand navigation column and the chat box.
Please note that forum moderators do not view the private PMs that are sent from member to member.
All members should take into account the member guidelines. Our forum is a safe-place and while we support free-speech and opinion, we do not accept inflammatory or offensive behaviour within public postings (discussion threads) or within PMs.
Forum structure
We try to keep our forum as democratic as possible. Aside from our collective commitment to support each other, the glue that holds us together is our member guidelines (these can be viewed in 'noticeboard ').
If you come across anything that you feel falls outside the member guidelines, please alert the moderating group by clicking on CONTACT US . The moderating group is made up of around six members. We measure complaints against the member guidelines and what we feel are generally accepted community values and standards (ie. what you see in your daily papers) and if we feel a complaint is valid, we can take action.
Our moderators are jdmc, Nonna, Paul, Murph, Daveb and Shaun. We can be emailed individually through your Private Messages facility once you're logged in, or collectively via the CONTACT US button (left).
